BACHELOR SCIENCE IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP (BSEntrep)

VISION

To be significant educational institutions actively and continually involved in producing graduates who have the knowledge and skills in addressing the problem of criminality in the country and the competence to meet the challenge of globalization in the field of criminology.


MISSION

To provide the community with professionally competent and morally upright graduates who can deliver efficient and effective services in crime prevention, crime detection and investigation, law enforcement and custody and rehabilitation of offenders among others.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEO)

The Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship program develops aspiring entrepreneurs to acquire knowledge, skills, values and attitude that will increase their chances of success. The program is driven towards.
  1. Analyzing the environment to screen business opportunities and develop their profitability profiles.
  2. Developing knowledge base to start a small business, become business consultant or enter into a managerial level employment.
  3. Enable students with entrepreneurial mindset that contribute a significant role in management.
  4. Developing eminently motivated individuals that can mobilize diverse resources in continuously tapping new opportunities with good human relations and ethical standards.
  5. Providing students the opportunity to gain real-world experience through a business practicum as well as adopting socio-economic changes.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES (PO)

On successful completion of the program, graduates are able to:


  1. Set up, manage and operate their own business
  2. Assume managerial position in the field of Business Development, Corporate Planning and other related position in the corporate or public organizations.
  3. Participate, join, organize or create linkages within and outside the discipline.
  4. Demonstrate clear understanding of legal and ethical environment impacting business organization and exhibit an understanding and appreciation of the ethical implications of decisions.
  5. Analyze for problem solving and decision making purposes, current information, theories and models, and techniques and practices in all of the major business disciplines including the general areas of Accounting and Finance, Information Technologies, Management, Marketing and Quantitative analysis.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Many entrepreneurs have achieved great success without the benefit of formal training. However, for every successful new business that we see, there are many more failed ventures that we never hear about. Through its combination of classroom training and experiential learning, the BS Entrepreneurship program will help aspiring entrepreneurs acquire the skills, values and attitudes that will increase their chances of success.
