What are the Scholarship Programs?


A. INTERNAL


a.

Students WITH HIGHEST HONORS from the Senior High School are entitled to the usual tuition fee discounts for the entire school year, with a certification from the Principal and subject to certain conditions.

b.

Graduates of BCHS and Juban Institute are entitled to the 10% and 20% tuition fee discounts, respectively, if they continue with their tertiary education in Bicol College, Inc.

c.

Brothers/sisters are given a tuition discount of 5% for the 1st, 10% for the 2nd, 15% for the 3rd, and 50% for the 4th.

d.

The bigger discounts shall be applied to those paying the lower fees. LAW, MAED, MM, MSCRIM, PhD and Ed.D are not included. It is understood that beneficiaries are under one and the same support which shall be subject for verification.

e.

Children of BC personnel, teaching and non-teaching, shall be entitled to 50% tuition discounts if enrolled in a baccalaureate program, except when such children are already married and living as separate families from the employee concerned.

f.

Teaching (full-time and part-time) personnel enjoy 25% and non-teaching personnel 50% tuition discounts if enrolled in undergraduate and Master's courses (MAED, MM, MSCRIM), except LAW. For doctoral courses (PhD and Ed.D), the tuition discount is 20%.

g.

One brother/sister or the legitimate spouse of a BC employee shall enjoy a 20% tuition discount if taking a baccalaureate course, provided they live in the same household or are dependent for support.

h.

Engr. Roque F. Tabuena Scholarship: Full 4-year tuition scholarship in the College of Law for students who graduated CUM LAUDE, MAGNA CUM LAUDE, or SUMMA CUM LAUDE, under certain conditions. (See the College of Juris Doctor Secretary for details.)

i.

Public school teachers who serve as cooperating teachers to BC off-campus students shall receive honoraria through their respective school heads immediately after training.

j.

Other scholarships sponsored by the school include:

- Performing Arts Scholarship

- BC Chorale Scholarship

Students are encouraged to visit the Office of the Vice President for Administration for information on available scholarships and how to qualify, apply, and avail of scholarships, grants, and privileges.

B. EXTERNAL


a.

The College accommodates state-regulated benefits from external agencies such as the Philippine Veterans Administration Office (PVAO), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), SK Scholarships, and other agencies or sponsors.

b.

Philippine Veterans Administration Office: Beneficiaries under Republic Act No. 7696 are eligible for admission upon presentation of an eligibility certificate issued by PVAO, provided they meet admission requirements.

c.

Grantees of educational benefits or scholarships from CHED and other duly constituted grantors.

d.

Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Scholarship.
