October 9–10, 2025 | Bicol College, Daraga, Albay

Bicol College warmly welcomed the Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for the evaluation and assessment of the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP). The visit covered the Re-Certification of the BS Criminology Program and the Deputization of the BS Business Administration Program (New).

The RQAT was composed of Dr. Karen I. Iniego, CHED Education Supervisor II, together with Dr. Arnold F. Abiog and Dr. Rina Abner-Puerta as members. The two-day assessment, held from October 9–10, 2025, aimed to ensure the continued alignment of Bicol College’s ETEEAP operations with CHED Memorandum Order No. 29, series of 2021, which provides the implementing guidelines for ETEEAP delivery in higher education institutions.

The RQAT conducted comprehensive assessments of instructional delivery, assessment tools, faculty and assessor qualifications, student portfolios, facilities, and institutional management systems. Constructive feedback and recommendations were provided to further strengthen the college’s equivalency and accreditation practices.

Dr. Maria Luz T. Macasinag, DBA, PhD, President of Bicol College, expressed her appreciation to CHED for its continued partnership in advancing the college’s mission of providing accessible and quality higher education through alternative learning pathways. She also reaffirmed Bicol College’s strong commitment to uphold academic integrity and quality assurance in the implementation of ETEEAP.

Bicol College extends its gratitude to CHED and the RQAT members for their valuable insights and for recognizing the institution’s efforts toward educational innovation and excellence.

From the BC Community — Thank you, CHED RQAT, for your continued trust and guidance in quality assurance.
